Vocal Coaching

Let's Make Singing Simple

Whether you are just discovering your singing voice, or you're a seasoned professional...I would love to work with you to uncover the amazing things your voice can do.

Why Train With Me?

I have done all the hard technical training so you don't need to! I Our lessons will be completely decluttered allowing you to discover how simple singing can be.

Vocal Balance Accredited Teacher - This amazing technique is a simple approach to singing which is effective and helps you to achieve immediate results. As an accredited Vocal Balance teacher I have trained for a year with Julie Gossage & Richard Halton who are two of the West Ends BEST vocal coaches, alongside their partners who have trained me from Classical to Pop, Accent work to Vocal Anatomy. As a professional singer myself, I saw huge changes to my vocal capabilities in such a short amount of time whilst training as a vocal coach. After working in the profession for over 12 years, I only wish I had discovered Vocal Balance techniques sooner.

Vocal Health first aider -  This was something I wanted to know more about after discovering the importance of vocal health the hard way. Not only will you benefit from safe singing techniques in during our lessons, I also have the ability to assess your vocal health concerns.

Mental Health First Aider - The world of arts and creativity can come with moments of vulnerability, which is why as an advocate of mental health, I became a Mental Health First Aider to support you as much as possible inside and outside of our lessons.

Singing lessons should be fun, a comfortable place to explore with trust, be creative, feel supported and encouraged. Together we can achieve your vocal goals leaving the lessons feeling happy & confident

"I was slightly sceptical about an online lesson thinking it wouldn’t be the same as a teacher in person. However, the online format proved to be no hindrance, if anything it was more liberating singing in my own space.I was immediately blown away by Sophie’s technical expertise. Sophie was able to complete a diagnostic assessment of my voice which honed in the areas which needed to be strengthened. The entire lesson was conducted with pedagogical expertise. However, it was Sophie’s enthusiasm and positivity which gave me the space to work through finding my voice again. We worked our way through my old audition song ‘Astonishing’. At the end of the lesson I sang that song with more conviction and emotion that I’ve never been able to achieve. By the time I signed off, I didn’t have the usual strain on my throat that I usually have after singing a classic belt number. Instead, my voice felt more open than it had ever done before. Sophie was incredibly mindful of my confidence issues and my emotional vulnerabilities. Singing my old audition song was incredibly nerve wracking. But Sophie fostered such a positive learning environment, I was made me feel alive. I ended the lesson feeling incredibly proud of myself and so my vocal cords felt amazing. There were a happy tears, as I felt that I had finally found and connected with my voice again.”

The Vocal Balance Technique produces voices that are strong, flexible, free and healthy, allowing you to sing for long periods of time without fatigue or strain. It is based on the Italian idea of “Bel Canto” or Beautiful Singing. It’s a blend of ideas, techniques and practices, evolved over many years, which have achieved some quite simply amazing results!
